Washington — Democratic members of the US House Oversight Committee on Wednesday released new photographs and short video clips of Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James in the US Virgin Islands. The location has long been associated with allegations of trafficking and the abuse of underage girls.
The newly released visuals show what appears to be a luxury resort-like compound, featuring a swimming pool, palm trees and ocean views. Other images reveal bedrooms, bathrooms, a room with a dentist-style chair, and an old telephone with names such as “Darren”, “Rich”, “Mike”, “Patrick” and “Larry” labelled on its speed-dial buttons.
Committee Democrats said the material exposes what they described as Epstein’s “disturbing world”. They stated that the release is intended to promote transparency and help deliver justice for victims. Several lawmakers have called on former President Donald Trump to immediately release all remaining documents linked to Epstein.
The release comes shortly after Trump signed new legislation two weeks ago requiring the Department of Justice to disclose all Epstein-related records within 30 days. The newly published images reportedly date back to years before Epstein’s alleged suicide in 2019.
