The most searched cricketer in Pakistan this year is India’s explosive young batsman Abhishek Sharma.
According to Google search trends for 2025, Abhishek topped the list in Pakistan — ahead of several established names.
The 24-year-old left-hander has played 29 T20 internationals, scoring 1,012 runs at an average of 37.48, with a staggering strike rate of 189.51 — numbers that have quickly turned him into one of the most talked-about emerging talents in world cricket.
His rapid rise and aggressive batting style have sparked curiosity not just in India, but also across the border in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Top Searches: No Babar, No Shaheen in Top 10
Surprisingly, big Pakistani stars such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf did not make it into the top 10 most searched players.

Sharma’s rising popularity is strongly linked to his standout performances this year.
Against Australia, in a five-match T20 series, he scored 163 runs at an average of 40.75, with a hefty strike rate of 161. India won the series 2-1.
