Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a statement regarding the death of Iran’s National Security Chief, Ali Larijani. He stated that this incident could serve as an opportunity for the Iranian people to stand up against their rulers.
In a video message, Netanyahu claimed that Israel had targeted Larijani and a Basij commander. Describing the Revolutionary Guards as a “gang of thugs,” he asserted that the organization operates against ordinary citizens.
The Israeli Prime Minister stated that the objective of the ongoing operations in Iran is to weaken the current regime, thereby providing the people with an opportunity for change. He also noted that while this process would not be easy, the goal could be achieved through sustained effort.
Referring to the United States, Netanyahu noted that cooperation between the two nations continues in the Gulf region. He also mentioned his discussions with US President Donald Trump, stating that actions are being executed within the framework of joint strategies.
Expressing confidence in victory, he emphasized that unwavering determination is paramount. Additionally, he appealed to the Israeli public to maintain patience and to refrain from heeding rumors.
Netanyahu further affirmed that the government would provide every possible assistance to its citizens and that aid programs for affected regions would be expanded.
